LLU Security ---> Boo to you!

I passed by the Drayson Center this evening around 6pm and parked in the circle (loading zone) to stop by and pick up a intramural packet for winter quarter's "Dodgeball" league (yay!). I came out about 8 minutes later and was in my truck about to drive off when I see this 8x3 inch, obtrusive, mood busting POC stuck to my windshield! I was confused at first because it wasn't in their usual mustard yellow colored envelope. I originally thought it was from a police officer who was parked in the circle with me. But it wasn't him, it was definitely the "vege po-po".

I have so many stories of these inept, non-motivated, high school was enough education, and rude vege cops (most of them, not all). It would take too much of time and I would need to take a diuretic to lower my blood pressure. I suppose I just need to vent right now. I really don't want to give them control of how I'm feeling, but they've burst my bubble too many times, and I don't believe they know the scope of their job. In my opinion, their job is to keep students and staff safe and be a presence to thwart off danger, not to make money off you by "writing as many parking tickets as I can." I feel that power in the hands of the uneducated or poorly educated person is extremely dangerous. I mean think about it...most of them had no motivation to continue education after high school (if they finished high school), and now they have power against those of us with a whole alphabet of degrees after our names... talk about revenge huh? I can hear them say "You may have a lot more education than me, but I'm gonna ding you....$30 at a time!" And lets not forget the students who are poor as spit, whom security doesn't care about because let's face it, we're studying to be those same educated people they have grown to hate!

Okay...I'm off my soap box...LOL! I can't wait for Dodgeball! I gotta watch the movie for inspiration! Ha ha ha!
